Sikelewa Clara Sodlulashe-Mwenze

Clara Sikelelwa Sodlulashe-Mwenze is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in governance, public participation, and socio-economic development. She served as a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature (2009–2014), contributing to key portfolio committees including Local Government and Housing, Health and Social Development, and Sport, Arts and Culture.

Her leadership journey within SAWIC began in 2003, later serving as Research and Development Chairperson and Gauteng Provincial Chairperson (2016–2019). She has a strong background in stakeholder engagement, project management, and community development, including delivering housing projects as a main contractor.

Clara has also held senior government roles, including Assistant Director in the Gauteng Department of Sports, Arts, Culture & Recreation. She holds certifications in Leadership and Governance from institutions including UNISA, Wits, and the University of Johannesburg, and is currently pursuing a Business Management qualification with MANCOSA.
